  • E-mail format

  • Whitelisting DefensX Notification Emails

Overview

Configuring the email notifications consist of followed steps:

  • Adding a working email address to get the notifications

  • Select the event types that you want to be notified

  • Select All Customers or a set of customers related to this notification

Note
DefensX e-mail notifications will be sent from [email protected] address. It should be whitelisted on your e-mail receive rules to always get the e-mails.

E-mail format

If you’re using a PSA (Professional Services Automation) tool that supports service ticket creation via incoming emails (e.g., ConnectWise Manage), you may want to set up custom rules to process DefensX notifications more effectively.

DefensX user request emails follow a predictable subject format: DefensX - New User Request - COMPANY

For example, if the company name is Example, the subject line will be: DefensX - New User Request - Example. You can use this pattern to define custom routing or filtering rules in your PSA system, enabling seamless ticket creation or tagging based on the company name.

Testing the Notification Channel

Once you’ve configured an email notification channel in the DefensX portal, you can verify it using the built-in test feature:

  • Navigate to the Notifications list in the portal.

  • Click the three dots icon (︙) under the Actions column for your configured channel.

  • Select Send Test Message.

This allows you to confirm the setup and ensure proper delivery before live events start triggering notifications.

Whitelisting DefensX Notification Emails

If your mail server applies strict filtering rules, DefensX notifications may be blocked or end up in the spam folder. To ensure reliable delivery, whitelist the following IP address on your email server:

  • 159.183.184.103

Allowing this IP will ensure that all notification emails from DefensX are delivered successfully to your inbox or processing system.
