Do I need to install a relay agent to integrate with my Active Directory?
Every DefensX agent works as a relay agent too. That’s why you won’t need to install any other software to support AD.
Tip
|
You don’t have to maintain any user → user group mappings manually. Once our agent is installed, upon each user login, we will download updated user groups and synchronize it with the backend. |
How do I integrate with Active Directory?
DefensX agents are downloading related group information for the logged in end-user and automatically updates the backend. There is no need for any other integration.
How do I integrate with Azure AD?
You can follow the instruction in the article: AzureAD Integration
If there is no Active Directory or Azure AD, can I still define manual users and user groups?
DefensX supports both Active Directory and Azure AD options to exist at the same time. AD groups and Azure AD groups are going to be automatically inserted in the backend under Management/User Groups menu. Also manually created user groups will appear in the same menu. You have the flexibility to manage combined user groups from a single screen.
Can I use Active Directory and Azure AD at the same time?
Yes. DefensX supports both at the same time.
