  • Summary

Overview

Time-Based Policy allows organizations to apply Policy Group rules during specific time windows. This helps organizations adjust security controls based on business hours, non-business hours, or other scheduled periods.

For example, organizations can enforce stricter rules during business hours and apply different restrictions outside working hours.

Note
Time-Based Scheduling cannot be used in the Default Policy.

Configuration

To configure Time-Based Scheduling, navigate to the Policy Groups page.

Create a new Policy Group by clicking New Policy Group, or edit an existing Policy Group by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Edit.

Enter a name for the Policy Group, select the required Config type, configure the Policy Target settings based on your requirements, and optionally add a note in the Notes field. Then, enable Time-Based Scheduling.

After enabling Time-Based Scheduling, select the Timezone for the Policy Group and define the schedule by choosing the days and hours when the policy should be applied.

Once configured, the Policy Group follows the selected schedule and applies the policy during the defined days and hours.

Summary

Time-Based Policy provides flexible control over when security rules are enforced, helping organizations align protection with their operational schedules.
