Creating Users

You have to authenticate mobile users to let them use full functionality.

  1. If you have already enabled IAM authentication, such as AzureAD, end users can log in to their mobile applications with IAM credentials.

  2. In case you use Active Directory or local authentication, you will need to assign a password for the end users from the Users menu.

Following is an example. where admin defines a free gmail address for a non-IAM managed user. With this way, DefensX will consolidate both devices and associate with the same user. This is important for two reasons, log correlation and license consumption.

For Google and Microsoft cloud services, you won’t need to create a password for the user. DefensX will use authentication services of Gmail and Microsoft.
