Policy Group TemplatesIn this document
Policy Group Templates let you define one set of policy rules and apply it across multiple customers from the partner console. You build the template once, select the customers that should receive it, and deploy.
Creating a Policy Group TemplateNavigate to Global Tools → Policy Group Templates and click New Policy Group Template.
Enter a Policy Group Template Name and, optionally, a Description. Then click Create Policy Group Template.
Configuring the TemplateThe template appears in the list with no customers assigned. Click the gear icon in the Configure column to open the template’s rules.
Rules are grouped into the Web Filters, Credentials, File Transfers and ADWare Blocker tabs, and are set the same way as the rules in a customer policy group.
Deploying to CustomersOpen the three-dot menu for the template and select Map customers.
Select the customers that should receive the template. The Current Template column shows which template each customer is already on.
Click Deploy, then confirm.
Editing a deployed template turns the Deployed button into Pending changes. Click it to push the update. Reviewing Template CustomersOnce deployed, the Customers column shows how many customers the template covers and Last Deployed records when it was last applied.
Click the customer count to open the template’s customer list, where the Assigned and Unassigned tabs show which customers are on the template and which are not.
SummaryA Policy Group Template is built once in the partner console and deployed to any number of customers, replacing their default policy with the rules the template defines. |
