Zero Trust Files

Web browsers allow end users to download and upload files on the Internet. Because of web browser makers commercial goals, they don’t provide enough tools for the enterprises to control files.

DefensX installs its security extension on the modern web browsers, in connection with the operating system agent and takes control of the file upload and downloads.

From the DNS layer it is not possible to view or identify files. DNS can only understand the domain name, not the content so they are blind to files.

Visibility:

DefensX provides complete Internet file exposure reports. It is possible to have the file transfers visibility.

Protection:

With our solution deployed, it is also possible to apply policies to control file uploads and downloads based on file types (MIME Type Check), domains (Custom URL (Host) Group), or categories (Security, Adult, Social Media, etc.). Such as:

  1. Block file uploads and downloads for the Security category

  2. Block file downloads from drive.google.com

  3. Block .exe file downloads from any domain

  4. Block file uploads to fileshare.com
